Walk through the install before you do it, live. Bring your equipment details and your questions. Every install also gets free engineering support, sizing to start-up.
How it installs
APR Control is a mechanical valve installed with three refrigerant connections. APR‑E Valve adds simple control wiring for the command signal. There is no crane, no curb change, and no shutdown of the space: the APR Control goes on the existing DX equipment on the roof or in the field.
- Size it first. A complimentary Rawal Devices Engineering consultation sizes every valve for your equipment and refrigerant, to ensure proper oil entrainment. Start with the sizing tool.
- Make the three refrigerant connections per the install package for your refrigerant, plus control wiring for APR‑E Valve.
- Follow the adjustment and start-up steps in the package, or join the live webinar and do it alongside an engineer.
Full step-by-step instructions live in the installation instructions and downloads. When in doubt, the webinar and the engineering line are there so nothing gets guessed at.
What to Watch For
- Follow the install package for your refrigerant (R-410A, R-454B, R-32, or legacy R-22) for connection points and orientation
- Braze, pressure-test, and evacuate the same as any refrigerant connection; protect the valve body from torch heat
- The install is the same three connections at every job, so once you have done one, you have done them all
- Size is set by Rawal Devices Engineering to the lead compressor, to ensure proper oil entrainment and oil return, so use the model that was selected for the unit
