APR‑E Valve™

Advanced control for precise discharge air temperature.

Chiller dreams on a DX budget.

New or existing equipment

APR‑E Valve fits both ways: retrofit onto the equipment you already run, or built into new equipment by OEMs, contractors, and third-party modifiers, with no design-day capacity penalty.

What APR‑E Valve does

APR‑E Valve is the electronic control for continuous capacity modulation. It adds discharge air temperature control, holding leaving-air conditions to ±1°F on DAT control (0.88°F max deviation measured in the field). It is the right choice when the application needs precise, repeatable discharge air, such as DOAS and process-sensitive spaces.

Proven in the field: APR modulation cut total compressor starts 77% (951 to 218) (Independent Field Study).

Discharge air temperature before and after APR‑E Valve: swings collapse to a tight band
Discharge air temperature, before and after APR‑E Valve: swings of 10 to 14°F per cycle collapse to about 0.88°F max deviation on DAT control (Independently Field-Verified).

“By utilizing the APR‑E Valve modulating technology on a single stage, constant speed compressor, integrated and programmed into our BMS controls, we were able to maintain a deviation from setpoint of no more than +/- 1°F.”

Where APR‑E Valve fits

Discharge Air Precision

±1°F on DAT control for applications that cannot tolerate swings in leaving-air temperature.

Continuous Modulation

Runs instead of cycling, for reliability and humidity control at part load.

DOAS and Process Spaces

Well suited to dedicated outdoor air and applications with tight leaving-air targets.

Staged DX Systems

Adds modulation to staged equipment, sized to the lead compressor.

Models and Compatibility

APR‑E Valve model numbers and refrigerant compatibility are confirmed per application across R-410A, R-454B, and R-32, as well as R-22 and other legacy refrigerants. Our engineers select the model for your equipment and control scheme — talk to an engineer to confirm the right fit.
