The APR Control turns standard staged DX equipment into a variable-capacity system. It modulates the refrigerant entering the evaporator to match the building load, so the compressor runs longer and steadier instead of cycling on and off — stabilizing supply-air temperature and keeping the active portion of the coil below dew point for continuous dehumidification. It installs in the condenser section, with no external piping on split systems.

Key takeaways

  • Modulates capacity to match part-load conditions, where DX equipment spends most of its run hours
  • Extends compressor run-time and keeps the coil below dew point for continuous dehumidification
  • Installs in the condenser section — no external piping on split systems
  • Protects the compressor with a de-superheat chamber and liquid injection so only cool gas returns
